Get out and run.

Do not worry about the rest.
Make running a lifestyle. A daily habit, like brushing your teeth. If you run 300+ days a year, every year, for several years, good things will come your way. Start now. Doesn’t matter if you are 16 years old or 66.

If you want to be a decent runner you must get out and run; the rest is just noise.

Get the running in first— that is the foundation. Then: Eat mostly good stuff. Get enough sleep. Stretch if you want to— or don’t. Lift if you like lifting. Cross-train if it makes you happy. Wear minimalist shoes or big bulky ones, whichever you prefer. Listen to music when you run, or not. You can carry water with you on a long run, or you can go without. If you want to do a core routine, then do it— but first you must get out and run.

Run on trails, or streets, or on a treadmill, whatever works for you. Run slowly. Run quickly. Run up hills. Run in the rain. Run in the snow, the heat, the cold. Run into the wind. Run on the days that you do not feel like running. Run on the days that you can’t wait to get out and run. Run with friends. Run alone. Run races. Run in the country. Run in the city. Run in parks. Run when you feel happy. Run when you are depressed. Run when you have a ton of energy. Run when you are feeling like shit. Run when you feel good. Run in the morning. Run at night. Run before work. Run after work. Run.

This little number has been going around, and let me say: I am DROOLING! A healthier recipe option is at the bottom. You could also up the health factor by experimenting with almond flour/meal instead of bread crumbs or flour.

I can only imagine how this melts in your mouth!!! I’m making these bad boys next week, I suggest you do the same.

hi my darling.

Tips for not over eating-

First of all drink A HELL OF A LOT OF WATER. It naturally decreases your appetite and make you glow ! have a glass before/during meal time. this will fill you up making you want to eat less.

If you are having a craving for something naughty get up and go for a walk, distract yourself. Craving have been found to last only 30 mintues. so hold out for that amount of time and you shouldnt want it so badly anymore.

When making your plate for dinner make sure you get one serving filled with the good stuff, veges especially. eat slowly as it takes a while for your stomach to feel full. once your finished try having a glass of water instead of getting seconds.

dont look at your weight look at what you look and feel like. if you eat clean (try less carbs, bottled sauces and fatty meats  MORE VEGES) the weight will come off with the exercise. try be active everyday. Walking etc can make a world of a difference.

i am not a food nutrionist or doctor so cannot write a set of intructions for you to follow for your own health and safety, all i can give is advice :)

Hi i am 169cm and. 70 kgs, help me. To lose weight tips something i am depressed and so insecure about my body. People don't like me or get. Bother to get know me because of my face and body. :(

Loosing weight does not magically happen. I have been eating clean and exercising for the last year and i am the happiest i have ever been with my body. This is no secret that these two things contribute to a healthier you.

Talk to your parents and see how they can help with cooking dinner healthier etc buying more fruit and vege instead of packeted chips and lunch bars.

Maybe take yourself and/or your dog for a walk?

and dont forget to drink WAATER ! it will keep your appetite at bay and hydrate and flush you out for a healthy happy you !

all the best xxxxxxx

So i am about 160 and I weigh 63 kg. Good weight or? Also.. I am trying to lose weight in the legs, do you know the best way for that? Cause I play volleyball, netball and i do alot of long distance running.

From your exercise regime you sound healthy. Your weight will be a result from your muscles formed from doing so much sport ! you go girl thats amazing !

Weight should never be what you think about- shop assistants dont ask for your weight when they need to get you a pair of amazing jeans do they ?

Stop for a minute and think, are your thighs just muscle ?

If no and you think they can even get smaller look at what you are eating, perhaps try less carbs (bread, pasta) and eat more salads and leaner foods. Basically eat clean. This is less packeted food (always have added sugars, fats and oils) MORE lean meats, fruit and vege, and WATER.

do you think if i have a smoothie/oatmeal for breakky everyday then a small salad during the day and lean meat for dinner plus fruit for snacks (but minimal), and intense gym exercise 2-3 times a week and a run 2-3 times a week as well, i can lose weight and tone my thighs and stomach by christmas? please help me i binge so much xx

Hi gorgeous,

Yes think clean when you are trying to reach a goal, this is ideal when you are more aware of what you put into your meals e.g. for the smoothie-low fat greek yogurt, banana, coconut water/almond milk, berries and honey is a good and easy combo.

you can never have too much fruit and veg ! it is a healthy way to keep yourself full when you are craving sugar.

Dont push your body too hard with exercise especially if you are not used to it. If you commit to what you have told me you will definitely see a difference xx

not necessarily for weight loss…but for those who can’t visualize portions, a food scale may be helpful.
